END OF NXT UK

WWE announced that NXT UK will end after the September 4th Worlds Collide, and will be replaced by NXT Europe in 2023. This has also led to the dismissal of 23 wrestlers from the British brand.

That ending caused apprehension, but according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, people see this as "a step back that needs to be taken in order to take a step forward", and to come up with a good strategy to launch NXT Europe.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, the creation of the new program should not be "true", given the amount of fighters fired, as WWE would not let so many people leave if they were already planning something new for a few months from now.

The journalist gives the example of Amale, who was the only French fighter in NXT UK, and according to him, if they were going to launch a European brand, they wouldn't have fired her. Dave Meltzer also mentioned that to fulfill his contract with BT Sport, the plan would be for WWE to start broadcasting NXT Level Up at the time that belonged to the British brand, but nothing is certain.
