FIGHTERS WHO DESERVE TO ENTER THE HALL OF FAME (TOP 5)

WWE announces the first official name for the 2023 Hall of Fame, and it is the legendary Rey Mysterio, and at a time when he is still an active fighter in the company.

It is the first time that such a thing has happened, as many have returned after their induction, as was the case with Edge, Beth Phoenix, Goldberg, Kurt Angle, and many others.

It is always an honor for fighters to be part of the Hall of Fame, as it is a recognition of your work, not only within the company but among the fans, and for the moments they created.

There are many names worthy of this recognition, who are guaranteed to enter the Hall of Fame in the future like Vince McMahon or John Cena, but it will take some time before that happens. In this list, I'm going to talk about names that deserve to be inducted in the next 3 or 4 years at most.

Also, I will not include the names of figures who are speculated to be part of this year's class. And by the way, this is a personal choice, and you can there are names that many will not agree with. So let's do it!

CHRISTIAN
I'll start with an unpopular and unlikely choice, as the only way Christian will be inducted into the Hall of Fame is if it's as a tag team alongside Edge or as part of the Brood.

In my opinion, and unpopular as well, I always thought Captain Charisma was more talented and with more potential than the Rated R Superstar and should have had an equal push in WWE. Despite some individual achievements, his time in WWE is not the most memorable, but for me, he left the image of one of the best fighters I've ever seen compete.

And the proof that he deserved more in the company was when he left and had the deserved highlight in TNA as one of its biggest stars of the 2000s, and they decided to induct him into the TNA Hall of Fame.

For that very reason, I think that even though Christian didn't have the best legacy in WWE as a singles wrestler, and unfairly so, I think the company can redeem itself by rewarding him with a well-deserved spot in the Hall of Fame.

HARDY BOYZ
WWE always likes to vary the Hall of Fame and one of the ways is to include a famous tag team, as was the case with the Road Warriors, the Fabulous Freebirds or the Rock N' Roll Express, among many others.

One that deserved to be already is the Hardy Boyz, mainly for the great moments they created when competing against the Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian for the WWF Tag Team Championships in TLC matches.

Outside of that, they are easily one of the most popular teams to come out of that company, winning several titles together and separately, inside and outside the WWE, because even on the independent circuit, they were very well received by the fans.

Even being part of AEW, I believe Tony Khan would let the brothers accept an invitation from WWE to be part of the Hall of Fame, as they deserve that recognition. The only big obstacle at the moment is more Jeff Hardy's delicate situation and that has to be solved first.

MICKIE JAMES
Lately, WWE has been more keen to feature at least one female wrestler a year in the Hall of Fame, and that's largely thanks to Women's Evolution, which thankfully put an end to the Divas era.

The fact that Mickie James is still not part of the Hall of Fame is shocking, because at a time when the only fighters that stood out in the ring were Lita and Trish Stratus, the Knockouts Champion managed to reach the level, and did not need to do the bra. & panties matches to stand out.

She managed to become one of the most popular names in the WWE, and won several titles in her career, both inside and outside the company.

Currently, she is part of Impact and is its current champion, but she has already revealed that she wants to end her career soon, and when that happens, she will surely receive a call from Triple H asking if she wants to be inducted into the Hall of Fame , and if it's not next year, it's two from now at the most.

CHRIS JERICHO
Chris Jericho's debut in WWE is one of the most memorable moments of the Attitude Era, and that first interaction with The Rock showed that we had just seen the arrival of a new star to the company. What was a big loss for WCW was a win for its rivals.

What followed was one of the greatest careers for one of the biggest and most charismatic stars to ever compete in the ring, and it goes without saying all the titles he won over the years, as the Intercontinental Championship alone he won 9 times, one record in WWE.

When he realized that there was nothing left to conquer in the company, he conquered Japan again, where he had already gained a great reputation in the 90s as the Lionheart, but now he was a legend of wrestling, and he did not lack for more achievements.

He is one of the founders of AEW and its inaugural world champion, and at 52 he still shows no signs of slowing down and remains one of the highlights of Tony Khan's company. Age really is just a number.

As Y2J still remains so active and focused in AEW, an induction into the Hall of Fame seems unlikely but not impossible, especially if Triple H asks personally, and he would certainly be one of the headliners, but he will definitely only accept when he retires for once.

THE ROCK
I believe the only reason The Rock isn't in the Hall of Fame yet is because he's actually been too busy with his Hollywood schedule... or else he believes he hasn't retired yet.

But still, are we talking about one of the most famous wrestling stars of the most popular era of WWE and no one has yet tried to contact him to cement his legacy in the company?

I think this absence is just weird and Dwayne Johnson should be in the Hall of Fame by now, as he's already left wrestling behind to focus on a career in Hollywood, and a very successful one at that.

WWE needs the People's Champion more than the other way around, and so they prefer to keep hope that he's still an active wrestler and not a reformed legend, but if his match against Roman Reigns takes place at WrestleMania XL, it will definitely be his last one, and then he officially announces his retirement.

I also think that this omission of The Rock from the Hall of Fame is yet another sign that he doesn't need this recognition, but when the time comes, he will accept it, and he deserves it.
