WWE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES KING AND QUEEN OF THE RING

During this Monday's Raw, WWE announced the next event to be held in Saudi Arabia, confirming recent rumors, The King and Queen of the Ring will be held on May 27 at the Jeddah Superdome. It had already been speculated that this event would take place in Saudi Arabia, which has now been confirmed by WWE.

Since 2002, WWE has not hosted a premium live event dedicated to King of the Ring. The 2015 edition had a special on the WWE Network, but in recent years, the tournaments have taken place on the weekly shows. With regard to the Queen of the Ring, this will be the first tournament with this name, because the first female edition of it, which was held at the end of 2021, was named Queen's Crown Tournament. It should also be noted that this King and Queen of the Ring will be held on the same weekend as AEW's next PPV, Double or Nothing.
