WWE SPEED: DETAILS ABOUT NEW SHOW

Through social media, WWE released more details about how “Speed”, the company's new show with a different fight format, will work. On its official account on X (formerly Twitter), WWE announced the event's debut date, time limit for matches, and, most importantly, a belt to crown the champion of the sport.

Corey Graves, commentator and former fighter for the company, was the spokesperson for the news via video, highlighting that the show will be broadcast weekly on the X platform itself. The first edition of “Speed” is scheduled for April 3rd, that is, next Wednesday. The maximum time for someone to beat their opponent will be 3 minutes, living up to the name “speed”. The first champion will be announced in the coming weeks, in a manner that has not yet been announced.

There is no official information on what styles of fighters tend to be involved, if any restrictions. However, it is speculated that fighters, who are mostly light or agile, will be prioritized, with the aim of promoting acrobatic viral “highlights” that reach an audience beyond conventional pro-wrestling fans.

Among the fights already recorded are the clashes between Cedric Alexander against Odyssey Jones, and Angel Garza against Tyler Bate, both produced by Pete Dunne, as previously reported.
