RICKY STARKS CLOSE TO SIGNING WITH WWE?

Ricky Starks is expected to sign with WWE once his current contract with AEW comes to an end. Contract negotiations have continued to make headlines in the pro wrestling world this year, with top talent from major companies opting to explore free agency rather than sign extensions. In recent weeks, for example, news that Bobby Lashley is set to leave WWE, and that the Lucha Brothers are set to leave AEW, have made headlines.

However, the latest name to be involved in such speculation is Ricky Starks. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “The Absolute” is expected to sign with WWE soon. The wrestler did not renew his contract with AEW and reportedly turned down a program involving Big Bill.

Ricky Starks, who has not been used much lately on AEW programming, is expected to head to WWE once his contract is up. He did not sign a renewal and turned down a storyline in which Big Bill would betray him, turning him into a babyface. However, he is no longer used.”

The athlete's last match in All Elite took place at Collision on March 30, during which, alongside Big Bill, he lost to Top Flight, with Dante Martin and Darius Martin.
