NETFLIX TO MAKE DOCUMENTARY ABOUT VINCE MCMAHON
Netflix has officially confirmed that the documentary about Vince McMahon will be released on September 25. Titled “Mr. McMahon,” the documentary series will consist of six one-hour episodes, exploring McMahon’s rise and fall in the world of pro wrestling.
The project, initially announced in 2020, faced uncertainty due to allegations of sex trafficking and other controversies involving McMahon. Despite this, production went ahead.
Directed by Chris Smith, known for his work on “Tiger King,” and executive produced by Bill Simmons, the documentary features more than 200 hours of interviews. Interviewees include McMahon himself, his family, associates, wrestling legends and journalists involved in the investigation into the allegations against him.
The series promises to address both WWE's transformation into a global sports entertainment powerhouse and the sexual misconduct allegations that led to McMahon's resignation from the company.
