AEW INTERESTED IN ZAYDA STEEL
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) appears to be eyeing another new talent from WWE. According to information released by the Wrestling PT website, Tony Khan's company has shown interest in signing Zayda Steel, a former WWE ID wrestler who recently left the company.
The young athlete, only 21 years old, announced on October 9th that she had decided not to renew her contract with WWE ID. In a social media post, Zayda stated that she was grateful for the opportunities she received, but felt it was time to pursue new paths:
“I have decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I am incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience and opportunities I have had, but at the end of the day I have to do what is best for me. I am only 21 years old and I have already done so much, but this is just the beginning. Thank you.”
Shortly after the announcement of her departure, AEW reportedly contacted the wrestler, showing interest in having her on their roster. Although no official agreement has yet been reached, sources indicate that the company sees great potential in Zayda, especially due to her youth and room for growth within the women's division.
During her time in WWE, Zayda Steel had a prominent role in the EVOLVE tapings, where she was part of the group known as the Vanity Project. Her performance caught the attention of fans and observers for her agility and charisma in the ring.
If the negotiation with AEW goes through, Zayda could get a new chance to showcase her talent in an environment that values creative freedom and personal style something that has attracted several former WWE talents in recent years.
At only 21 years old and with a whole career ahead of her, Zayda Steel could be an important name for the future of AEW's women's division, bringing renewal and new storylines for the audience to follow.
