AALYAH MYSTERIO IS THE NEW WWE PC RECRUIT

The Mysterio dynasty is officially ready to gain another chapter in the WWE rings. Aalyah Mysterio, daughter of the legendary Rey Mysterio and sister of Raw star Dominik Mysterio, has signed a developmental contract with the company and is permanently moving to Florida. The 24-year-old will train full-time at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, paving her way for a future debut on weekly episodes of NXT.

The decision to follow in the family footsteps had been planned in secret, under a very clear condition imposed by her father. In a recent interview, Rey Mysterio revealed that he made a pact with his daughter that she could only enter the world of wrestling after completing her studies. A graduate in human biology from the University of California, San Diego, Aalyah fulfilled her part of the agreement and immediately collected on the promise from the most famous masked wrestler in history.

The preparation of the new recruit has been underway discreetly for several months. Aalyah underwent private tests in the Performance Center ring and impressed the trainers with her natural agility and quick absorption of techniques, hallmarks of her family's DNA. Seeking to further refine her skills before the move, she also spent time training at the prestigious "The Dungeon" academy, under the tutelage of veterans Natalya and TJ Wilson.
Although WWE audiences remember Aalyah for her dramatic TV appearances during the ThunderDome era, this will be her first real foray as an active competitor in the ring. With a farewell party already held by her friends in California, expectations are high backstage to see how the third generation of the Mysterio family will adapt to the intense style of NXT and, in the future, become involved in the complex storylines that already surround her father and brother on the main roster.
