BARON CORBIN RETURNING TO WWE?

The professional wrestling landscape is about to undergo a major change. Bishop Dyer, formerly known in WWE as Baron Corbin, is no longer a holder of the MLW World Tag Team Championship. The wrestler's stripping was made official during the latest edition of the MLW Fusion program, intensifying rumors about his imminent return to the Stamford-based company.

Within the storyline presented by Major League Wrestling, commentator Rich Bocchini explained that Dyer attempted to use his champion status to demand a significant salary increase, in addition to a series of contractual benefits. As negotiations reached a definitive impasse, MLW management opted to suspend the athlete until he changes his stance.

Bishop Dyer's last match in the promotion took place in May, when he defended the titles alongside Donovan Dijak against the Mexican duo Averno and Euforia. Since then, Dijak had been under intense backstage pressure to find a replacement.

The resolution came at the end of the last show: after losing a match to Karl Anderson, Josh Bishop appeared to attack his opponent and was announced as the newest member of the Skyscrapers faction. With the change, Josh Bishop directly took Dyer's spot and became Dijak's new partner at the top of the MLW tag team division.

The abrupt departure seems to confirm recent backstage reports indicating that WWE has a strong interest in bringing the former Baron Corbin back to its main roster in the coming months.
