ILJA DRAGUNOV LEAVES WWE

Ilja Dragunov has officially ended his contract with WWE and decided to leave the company led by Triple H. Known worldwide as the "Mad Dragon," the 32-year-old wrestler chose not to renew his contract with the organization. The information about his departure was initially reported by journalist Mike Johnson of the PWInsider website. Soon after, WWE itself confirmed the end of the partnership by moving the athlete's profile to the "Alumni" section of its official website, a space reserved for former company employees.

The departure of the former United States champion comes after a long period of absence from television screens. Dragunov had already disappeared from weekly programs before WrestleMania 42. Behind the scenes, rumors circulated that he had come to be seen as an unpopular wrestler for the company's plans. The lack of space generated outrage and frustration in the fan community, who consider the situation one of the great wastes of talent in the current creative phase of WWE.

Since his contract has naturally come to an end, Dragunov is free of any non-compete clause. This means that the "Mad Dragon" has become a free agent on the market and can debut with any other promotion starting today. The termination of the contract has fueled intense speculation that the athlete may make a surprise appearance at the All In: London event, promoted by All Elite Wrestling on August 30th.
