JEFF HARDY RETURNING TO WWE?
Jeff Hardy has revealed his desire to return to WWE to face CM Punk in his retirement match and enter the Hall of Fame. In 2009, CM Punk and Jeff Hardy had a rivalry for the world title. Hardy managed to win the belt during Night of Champions, but lost to his rival in a TLC match at SummerSlam.
After 15 years, a lot has changed in the trajectory of the two fighters. Punk returned to WWE after a stint in AEW, while Jeff is in TNA after also having been in All Elite. Even so, the Hardy brothers have already stated that they would like to end their respective careers in the Stamford company.
In an interview with Timhann Revera, Jeff Hardy spoke about the possibility of returning to WWE, projecting as an ideal scenario the chance to face the “Second City Saint” in his retirement match and enter the Hall of Fame.
“I would like to have an incredible match in WWE and get inducted into the Hall of Fame to end my career in the best possible way. Looking back on my career, history is just a glimpse, it’s like a blink of an eye when you achieve so many goals and find yourself older. It would be really special to have an incredible match, maybe make CM Punk retire, and then get inducted into the Hall of Fame.”
