WWE IS KEEPING AN EYE ON TAKESHITA

At last Saturday's Battle of the Belts III, Konosuke Takeshita fought Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship and impressed fans again.

The Japanese fighter has competed a few times for the promoter, and before his title match, fans believed it could be a long-term bet for Tony Khan. However, this may be uncertain as Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is looking to sign a major Japanese star, which could be Konosuke Takeshita.

Although they do not want to specifically hire the fighter from AEW, as he is under contract and they do not know if he is available, he fits the profile of a fighter that WWE is looking for, as he is young and has the right size, so he may be under the radar from the company.

The journalist also said that Konosuke Takeshita has at least one year on his contract with AEW and currently lives in the United States, but does not know what contract he has with DDT Pro-Wrestling.
