WWE OFFICIALIZES PURCHASE OF AAA COMPANY

 

During WrestleMania 41 Countdown: Saturday, it was announced that WWE had purchased historic Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA.

The announcement was made by Michael Cole, who also revealed that NXT and AAA will hold the premium live event NXT x AAA: Worlds Collide on June 7, from the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, California. Triple H was later joined by Michael Cole and was accompanied by Marisela Pena and Dorian Roldan, former owners of AAA, and several WWE wrestlers as well as El Hijo del Vikingo.

WWE's COO praised the various luchadores who were on stage and stated that this acquisition will serve to take lucha libre to new heights. Former AAA executives also had the opportunity to make some statements about this historic deal that will take AAA to the TKO Group.
