AEW TRIES TO HIRE CHAD GABLE

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp had already confirmed that Chad Gable's WWE contract would end at the beginning of June, more specifically, this Friday, June 7th.

The journalist also pointed out that the Alpha Academy leader was expected to receive offers from WWE and AEW, if he effectively became a free agent. These rumors were however confirmed by Dave Meltzer, in the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The journalist stated that AEW has plans to sign the WWE fighter, and several people within the company want Tony Khan to do everything he can to achieve it. Despite this situation, Chad Gable will challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Clash at the Castle on June 15th.
