FUTURE CHANGES TO WWE NXT

WWE has been planning big changes for NXT as it transitions its broadcast rights to a new broadcaster. Lucrative television deals for its weekly shows are among the signs of the recent success WWE has achieved, as are event revenues and merchandise sales. Additionally, the streaming partnership with Peacock to broadcast pay-per-views has further increased earnings from these types of shows.

The most acclaimed recent agreement of its kind was RAW's move to Netflix, which comes into force from January 2025. The 10-year contract is valued at 5 billion dollars, equivalent to, on average, 500 million per year. WWE also increased the value of SmackDown. The 205 million dollars paid by FOX per year will turn into 287 with the move to the USA Network.

NXT is another brand moving house. The development brand's weekly show will air on the CW Network later this year. According to PWInsider, the scheduled release date is October 1st, although the company has not yet officially confirmed this information. Plans also indicate that the show will start to be recorded in large arenas around the United States, and no longer just at the Performance Center.
