SHAYNA BASZLER WILL MAKE AN APPEARANCE OUTSIDE OF WWE.

In the past, fans believed that stars signed to WWE would never appear in independent promotions unless in extremely exceptional circumstances. Baszler was one of the first female wrestlers signed to be announced for an independent show in 2024. The former NXT Women's Champion competed on Josh Barnett's Bloodsport X at WrestleMania Weekend and defeated TNA star Masha Slamovich via referee stoppage at the event held in Philadelphia.

This unique pro wrestling event recently debuted in Japan and was highlighted by the bloody fight between Barnett, who lost to AEW star Jon Moxley in the main event. With Bloodsport returning to the US in July, Shayna Baszler will also be back.

As announced by Barnett on social media, the “Queen of Spades” will fight at the Brooklyn show, with her opponent yet to be confirmed:

“For her, Josh Barnett’s ‘debut’ in Bloodsport wasn’t quite like that, but in fact it was a return to the ring that shaped her – the crucible that made her a champion in MMA and Pro Wrestling. In July, she returns to her birthplace to once again reign in blood and glory. ‘The Queen of Spades’ Shayna Baszler Returns to Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport.”
