ANDRADE RETURNS TO AEW
After his departure from WWE, Andrade, the Idol, wasted no time reclaiming his place in the spotlight: in his first post-WWE match, he defeated DMT Azul to win The Crash Heavyweight Championship, ending an 883-day reign.
The match took place in Tijuana this Friday and was a sort of baptism of fire for the Mexican in his new phase outside of WWE. This title represents Andrade's first significant achievement after leaving the company, reinforcing that his career remains vibrant and growing.
The victory also comes just two days after Andrade's return to AEW, where he reappeared attacking Kenny Omega at the Dynamite anniversary show. Backstage, some believe AEW sees Andrade as a key player in gaining ground in Mexico, leveraging his popularity and appeal in the Latin American market.
