WWE REGISTERED A TRADEMARK FOR A NEW PROGRAM.

According to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), the trademark application was filed on May 17 for “WWE Vault,” classified as a “show about professional wrestling.” The USPTO accepted the request and it is awaiting an attorney's review for finalization.

The registration description reads: “Entertainment services, namely, a program about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events broadcast via media, including television, and distributed across multiple platforms in a variety of broadcast media; Providing Wrestling News and Information Through Broadcast Media, Including Television, and Distributed Through Various Platforms in Various Broadcast Media; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment through broadcast media, including television, and distributed across multiple platforms in various broadcast media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information.”

It is unknown how and where the possible new program will be presented or distributed. But the name might suggest something like “WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures,” which would be shown on A&E. “WWE Speed” was the latest addition to WWE’s live wrestling lineup, and it found its home on Platform X, but before the show’s debut there were hints that it was on the way. Previous shows like “WWE Confidential” featured a segment called “From the Vault,” showing highlights from classic matches. But as you'd expect from a company over 50 years old, there are a number of things that could be pulled from the proverbial vault for a program.
