WHERE IS AJ STYLES?

A few days ago, it was reported that AJ Styles was supposed to make his return to WWE programming on SmackDown last Friday, something that did not happen. The "Phenomenal One" has been away from WWE programming since Clash at the Castle, where he was defeated by Cody Rhodes in an "I Quit" Match. 

Since then, AJ Styles has faced Naomichi Marufuji at Pro Wrestling NOAH and has only wrestled at three WWE live events in Japan since late July. According to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, AJ Styles was originally scheduled to appear on this week's SmackDown, but did not.

The journalist says that WWE is still planning the wrestler's return to its programs in time for Bash in Berlin on August 31, but decided to postpone it as this is not "the most suitable week".
