WWE DISMISSES NEW NAME FOR "JUDGMENT DAY"

WWE has seemingly backtracked on its idea of renaming “New Judgment Day” following the mockery and backlash from fans following the shocking events of SummerSlam, which saw Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley kicked out of the group after being betrayed by Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, respectively. A report claimed that the “New Judgment Day” lineup was set to undergo a name change. 

However, when one of the main names for the group was revealed to be “Street Trash,” many fans did not take the pitch seriously and compared it to something that the old management had created. 

In a follow-up report from WrestleVotes, who posted the original report, the group will not undergo a name change, while the “Street Trash” slogan will be part of the group’s gimmick. The idea for “Street Trash” came directly from Finn Balor, with merchandising concepts already completed and approved.
