UPDATE ON WWE'S WAVE OF LAYOFFS

Following recent roster cuts, WWE has continued to make layoffs, affecting more wrestlers. According to information from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the following names have been added to the list of those fired:

Luke Gallows: Part of the tag team "The Good Brothers" alongside Karl Anderson, Gallows has had two stints with WWE, the most recent of which began in October 2022. He is also known for his work in NJPW and Impact Wrestling.

Karl Anderson: A longtime partner of Gallows, Anderson returned to WWE in 2022 and, during that time, won the NEVER Openweight title in NJPW, becoming the first wrestler under WWE contract to defend an NJPW title.

Giovanni Vinci: A member of the Imperium stable, Vinci was present in NXT before being promoted to the main roster. His departure marks a significant change in the composition of the group led by Gunther.

Isla Dawn: Coming from NXT UK, Isla Dawn was transferred to NXT in the United States after the unification of the women's titles. She formed a notable duo with Alba Fyre, and her dismissal comes as a surprise to many fans who had been following her upward trajectory.

These dismissals come in addition to previous ones, which included names such as Cedric Alexander, Akam, Rezar, Paul Ellering, Sonya Deville and Blair Davenport. WWE has yet to officially comment on the specific reasons for these dismissals.

With these departures, the future of several storylines and groups within WWE could be affected, and it remains to be seen how the company will adjust its programming in light of these changes.
