Mae has contributed to increasing the number of women in the United States who defend soldiers fighting abroad. Mae also helped make women's wrestling more popular in Canada. Today, with the Mae Young Classic Tournament, WWE is celebrating her heritage.

In 2008, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. In 2010, during Monday Night, Mae Young became the first individual to compete on RAW.

She was the first woman to participate in the Royal Rumble with the intercontinental belt as well. It's only time before Chyna is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
