NETFLIX DEVELOPS HULK HOGAN DOCUMENTARY

Netflix is producing a documentary series about the life of Hulk Hogan, in partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), although the project has not yet been officially announced by the platform.

According to a report by the website SEScoops, the project has been secretly developed since 2024. The production already includes more than 20 hours of previously unreleased interviews with Hogan, as well as additional footage, totaling approximately 50 hours of recorded content.

Bryan Storkel is directing, with production by Words + Pictures, produced by producer Connor Schell, the same studio that previously partnered with WWE. Hulk Hogan actively participated in the project, giving interviews and acting as a consultant. The goal was to show a previously undisclosed side of the professional wrestling icon.

The ring legend, real name Terry Bollea, passed away in late July 2025, at the age of 71, from a heart attack. At the time, he was in the middle of filming the documentary series. Filming continues even after his death, but producers will have to adjust the footage already recorded to include this tragic outcome.

So far, no official release date has been announced. The project is expected to be completed as a tribute to his career, combining interviews, behind-the-scenes footage from WWE (including footage from events like SmackDown, where an official posthumous tribute is expected), and a retrospective look at his cultural influence.
