At the end of October, WWE announced that it will hold Bash in Berlin in Germany, on August 31, 2024. Meanwhile, WWE announced that last night's SmackDown, on August 30th, will also be held in Germany. In a statement, WWE explained that after the great response in pre-registrations to purchase tickets for Bash in Berlin, it decided to also hold the SmackDown that preceded it, at the Mercedes Benz-Arena. This will be the first SmackDown to be held in Germany, but it will not be the first WWE television program to be held in the country, as this already happened with an episode of Raw in 1997.
