DAKOTA KAI SERIOUSLY INJURED

The WWE Women's Tag Team Championships are now vacant due to Liv Morgan's injury, and it looks like she's not the only wrestler injured. In the last defense of the titles by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, they faced Bayley and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL. A few days after the title match, it was revealed that Liv Morgan suffered an injury, which forced the champions to relinquish their titles.

Already on SmackDown last Friday, Bayley revealed that Dakota Kai also suffered an injury, so he still said he could stay away longer than Liv Morgan. However, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp informs that the injury occurred during the aforementioned WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match, and reinforced that it should be more serious than Liv Morgan's.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer said that Dakota Kai tore his anterior cruciate ligament and will undergo surgery this Tuesday. Bayley and Damage CTRL's IYO SKY will compete for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships on Raw next week.
