WWE broadcast another edition of NXT on the CW Network this Tuesday, from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, leading up to the Great American Bash on July 12. WWE ANNOUNCES TOURNAMENT FOR NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION

After Triple H revealed the new World Heavyweight Championship and announced the format of the tournament that will define its first champion, the Superstars who will fight for the title are now known.

This Sunday, WWE announced that Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura and The Miz will represent Raw in the tournament, while AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, Edge, Rey Mysterio and Sheamus will represent the SmackDown.

On each of the upcoming shows on Raw and SmackDown there will be two Triple Threat Matches, and the winners of each of them will then face each other in a Singles Match, which will determine the candidate of the respective brand.

The big winners of each brand will face each other in the final of the tournament, which will take place at the Night of Champions on May 27th, in Saudi Arabia.
