RETURN OF CM PUNK TO AEW COLLISION
CM Punk will return to AEW on the premiere episode of Collision, which will take place this coming Saturday, June 17th.
To promote this debut and return, it is reported that the "Second City Saint" gave an interview to ESPN. However, according to several journalists, he gave controversial opinions that caused a new split in the AEW locker room.
Until the interview is published it can't be known for sure what he said, but according to Wade Keller of PWTorch and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, some of the things didn't go down well between other fighters.
CM Punk will have spoken about several topics, including The Elite, and it is mentioned that he said that “Hangman” Adam Page seriously beat him in the fight that the two had at Double or Nothing in 2022. It was also pointed out that the "Second City Saint" refused to face KENTA at Forbidden Door II on June 25th.
Sean Ross Sapp further explained that AEW monitored this interview with CM Punk as closely as possible, and that those responsible know that some of the statements may cross the line of what is kayfabe or not. It is not yet known when the interview will be released, but it is believed that this will happen before Collision's debut.
