WWE broadcast another edition of NXT on the CW Network this Tuesday, from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, leading up to the Great American Bash on July 12. SURPRISE RETURNS IN WOMEN’S ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH

With WWE's Royal Rumble 2024 set to take place at Tropicana Field in Florida, the promotion could be well-positioned to hide the identity of potential surprise appearances.

 Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite explains: “In these times, everyone asks about surprises. A WWE source noted that with so much current and former talent, as well as WWE NXT stars, all living in Florida, it would be very easy to call someone at the last second and have them show up.”

 Therefore, WWE could book several NXT Superstars or company legends to appear at the event at the last minute. One name mentioned behind the scenes is Maryse. 

 Johnson adds:
 “Add Maryse to the list of names scheduled to be at Royal Rumble 2024 this weekend. Her name was circulating backstage today on Raw. Of course, this doesn't mean she will be on screen, but rather that she will be at the event.”

 Last year's men's Royal Rumble did not feature any NXT Superstars, but did include a surprise appearance from WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Michelle McCool was a legend added to the women's match, while Roxanne Perez, Indi Hartwell and Zoey Stark represented NXT in the fight.
