On the June 16, 2025 edition of RAW, during a match against Kairi Sane, women's tag team champion Liv Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder after falling during a chain wrestling sequence. The referee immediately stopped the match and called the medical team, confirming that the injury was serious and completely legitimate, with no storyline elements.
The consequences were immediate, according to commentator Michael Cole, it was explicitly announced that Morgan dislocated her shoulder and, according to a report by Ringside News, recovery could take anywhere from a few weeks to four months, this interval jeopardizing her participation in the long-awaited Evolution2 event, scheduled for July 13, where she had planned to face Nikki Bella in a highlight segment.
Due to this injury, WWE chose to cancel Nikki Bella's RAW segment at the last minute. According to journalists such as Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer, this segment was supposed to be part of the narrative for Evolution2, but it was immediately discarded after the incident.
Interestingly, among the reactions to the incident, Morgan's rival in the story, Rhea Ripley, made an unusual gesture and broke kayfabe: she used her social media to condemn the behavior of fans who went as far as celebrating the fighter's injury. Ripley wrote:
"Don't celebrate an injury. Disgusting behavior. Don't be like them."
This public support, even coming from a rival, generated a great repercussion with praise for showing solidarity and respect in the face of a delicate situation.
