WWE PLANS TRISH STRATUS RETURN AT EVOLUTION II

WWE is preparing a big surprise for women's wrestling fans: the legend Trish Stratus is set to make her return to the ring at Evolution II, an event dedicated entirely to women, scheduled for July 13, 2025 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The second edition of Evolution had been discussed behind the scenes for some time and was initially scheduled to take place in Connecticut on July 5. However, the company opted to relocate the event to Atlanta, strategically fitting it into the same weekend as Saturday Night's Main Event XL, which will take place the day before, strengthening the special programming and giving greater prominence to women's wrestling.

Trish Stratus, one of the greatest champions in WWE history, has recently returned to the big stage, participating in the 2025 Royal Rumble as number 25 and impressing the audience by remaining in action for about 13 minutes. In addition, she has been present at other major events, such as Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank 2024, in Toronto, her hometown. These appearances have further fueled the expectation that Trish would be ready to return to wrestling in style — and WWE, according to sources, is very interested in promoting this high-profile match during Evolution II.

According to WrestleVotes, Trish Stratus has already confirmed her presence on the June 20 episode of SmackDown, which will take place in Grand Rapids, Michigan, precisely to start her rivalry and build the storyline that will culminate at Evolution. There is still no official confirmation on who Trish's opponent will be, but there are rumors that WWE intends to put her in a “dream match” against one of the current top stars, such as Becky Lynch or Bayley. Trish herself, in recent interviews, has made it clear that she wants to participate in more extreme matches, such as cage matches, Hell in a Cell or even an Elimination Chamber, which further increases fans' interest in what kind of challenge the veteran will face upon her return.

Evolution II marks not only the celebration of Trish Stratus' legacy, but also a new opportunity to elevate women's wrestling within WWE, valuing names from the past and present. The expectation is that, in the coming weeks, the company will officially reveal the full plans for the event, including Trish's opponent and possible special stipulations for the match. Until then, fans will remain attentive to the developments, especially on the edition of SmackDown on June 20, which should be the kickoff of this historic rivalry and huge potential for the most anticipated women's show of the year.
