🦎 MR. IGUANA JUMPS STRAIGHT TO WWE MAIN ROSTER

Mexican wrestler Mr. Iguana, born Santiago Ibarra Calderón, rose from the independent circuit and AAA Lucha Libre to stardom in WWE. He made a huge impact after his performance at the Worlds Collide event (a partnership between AAA and WWE) on June 7, 2025, in Los Angeles. During a six-man tag team match alongside Aero Star and Octagón Jr., against members of the Latino World Order and Lince Dorado, Mr. Iguana's charisma and comedic style especially with his plush mascot "Yezka" won over the American audience.

A few hours later, he was spotted in the audience at Money in the Bank 2025, which fueled speculation about a possible promotion that has now been confirmed.

In a surprising decision, WWE opted to skip the NXT developmental division and place him directly on the main roster. The decision was motivated not only by fan acclaim, but also by immediate success in merchandising sales: T-shirts with their logo (in partnership with AAA) sold out in less than 24 hours.

Mr. Iguana is known for his unique look: green and black face paint, scaly costume and humorous wings. He combines traditional Mexican aerial wrestling with comedic elements, engaging the audience with his Yezka "iguana" and moves such as the “Iguanarana” (a variation of the huracarrana) and the “Muta Lock”, in homage to the Great Muta.
