WWE NXT DESTROYS WITH AEW DYNAMITE AT AUDIENCES

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, WWE NXT decisively won AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday on October 10th. NXT, on the USA Network, averaged 921,000 viewers and a 0.30 rating in the important 18-49 demographic. Meanwhile, AEW Dynamite averaged 609,000 viewers and a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

It was, indeed, a night when many people tuned in to watch professional wrestling. Both programs brought big names and prepared for the direct confrontation on October 10th. Prominent stars from WWE and AEW have appeared on their respective shows.

Both promotions were in a tizzy leading up to Tuesday, including AEW CEO Tony Khan calling Triple H and Shawn Michaels “bald assholes.”

This head-to-head competition between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT came about because AEW's flagship program was dropped from its usual Wednesday broadcast due to TBS's coverage of the Major League Baseball Playoffs.
