ERIC BISCHOFF SAYS ABOUT WWE NXT AND AEW DYNAMITE
When AEW debuted Dynamite in 2019, an immense war for audience opened on Wednesday nights, however, at some point in 2020, WWE decided to change NXT to Tuesday nights, ending the direct confrontation.
Since then, Dynamite has continued to be AEW's main show, while NXT has gone through a not-too-accepted revamp, with its version 2.0, however, recently, under Triple H's control, it has been growing exponentially.
In a recent interview, Eric Bischoff stated that at some point NXT will be bigger than Dynamite. Look:
“People should remember that NXT is a developmental brand. It's not about WWE's biggest and brightest stars like AEW is. NXT is a development platform and I wouldn't expect it to get that kind of rating with fighters who are trying to become big stars.
At some point NXT is going to overtake Dynamite and they are about 100,000 viewers or less away from getting it. I predicted this to happen this summer and I'm going to stick with it.”
