CHARLOTTE FLAIR WILL RETIRE AFTER WRESTLEMANIA 39

One of WWE's top stars is set to go on hiatus after WrestleMania 39, according to a new report. PWInsider Elite has reported that Charlotte Flair will be taking a break from WWE, having informed WWE officials of her plans during WrestleMania weekend.

The report added that the creative plans regarding the SmackDown Women's Championship were decided before the Queen informed them of her decision. Charlotte lost the title to Rhea Ripley on the first night of WrestleMania.

Additionally, Flair is not expected to be backstage at this Friday's taping of SmackDown. Charlotte was telling people backstage at WrestleMania that she and her husband Andrade were going to do some traveling.

It is unknown how long the hiatus will last. PWInsider's report emphasized that it was Flair's decision, not WWE's. Recent reports indicate that she is interested in pursuing outside interests in the near future.

Charlotte spent much of 2022 away from WWE, going on hiatus after losing the SmackDown Women's Title to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. During her time away, she had dental surgery and got married.

Flair returned on the December 30, 2022 episode of SmackDown, defeating Rousey in an impromptu match to regain the title.
