IMPACT WRESTLING REBELLION 2023

 

Impact Wrestling held this Sunday, the 16th of April, another one of their pay-per-views, Rebellion, from the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Canada.

In the main event, Deonna Purrazzo defeated Jordynne Grace with a Queen's Gambit and became the new Knockout's World Champion, after Mickie James relinquished the title due to injury. After the match, the two embraced and the new champion welcomed the "Age of Virtuous".

In the co-main event, Steve Maclin got the better of KUSHIDA and became the new Impact World Champion, after Josh Alexander relinquished the title due to injury. After the match, the new champion attacked Scott D'Amore and was confronted by the returning Nick Aldis.

In other title matches: Trey Miguel retained the X-Division Championship in an Elimination Match; Bullet Club (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) retained the Impact World Tag Team Championships in an Ultimate X Match; and The Coven (KiLynn King & Taylor Wilde) remain Knockout's World Tag Team Champions after a win at the event's Countdown.

In other highlights: Team Dreamer defeated Team Bully in a Hardcore War, and Tommy Dreamer announced that he will be away for a while; and Santino Marella returned to the ring to help defeat The Design, taking advantage of Sami Callihan's betrayal of his group.

Finally, mention also: PCO's victory in a Last Rites Match against Eddie Edwards; and a win by Shera & Champagne Singh at Countdown.
