Last night marked the end of the action-packed WrestleMania 39 weekend, which was one of the most talked about events of this year.
While attention is focused on the recent news that Endeavor will form a new company that joins WWE and UFC, information is emerging about the records broken at this WrestleMania.
According to the press release recently published by WWE, this was the most successful and highest grossing event in the history of the company.
The event at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles set new records for viewership, box office, sponsorship, merchandise and media attention.
The second night of WrestleMania 39 surpassed the existing global audience record by 33%, just one day after the first night of WrestleMania 39 surpassed the existing global audience record by 28%.
WWE also revealed that WrestleMania 39 generated more than $21.6 million, breaking the previous record by an additional 27%. The event had 161,892 people in the arena, joining the two nights.
Sponsorships generated over $20 million and merchandise sales broke all-time highs. On social networks, WWE has more than 500 million views and 11 million hours of consumed videos.
