NEGOTIATING WITH NEW TALENTS

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is "in negotiations with significant new talent". Who exactly the talents are is unknown, however.

 Meltzer also stated that there is no hiring freeze in WWE and it is considered business as usual within the organization. The company recently agreed to a merger with Endeavor that will see the entertainment giant join the UFC before the end of 2023 under a new parent company. Vince McMahon will serve as executive chairman of the unnamed new parent organization.

 Recent reports have revealed that several talents at the company have claimed that there was an “unofficial hiring freeze” within the company and this had been discussed behind the scenes. Speculation has suggested everything from Vince McMahon's return to the WWE merger as reasons for the alleged freeze.

 The McMahon company has lost several free names on the market in recent weeks, with Brian Cage opting to re-sign with AEW/ROH, while Jay White has decided to sign a multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling. FTR also signed new four-year contracts with AEW in lieu of returning to WWE.
