AUSTIN THEORY'S POSSIBLE OPPONENTS COMING SOON

 

Despite having a long reign with the WWE United States Championship, Austin Theory has not been defending it in premium live events, something that in a way will contrary to the great prominence he had been receiving, especially when he successfully defended the title against John Cena, at WrestleMania 39. However, at WWE SummerSlam this scenario should change, since Theory has a great chance of putting his title at stake in Ford Field, Detroit. Despite this, Theory remains without a challenger, though some options are on the table for WWE.

AJ STYLESCurrently in a less prestigious rivalry with Karrion Kross, Styles could easily deliver an excellent match against Theory in the "Biggest Event of the Summer", perhaps even having a real chance of being champion again. Styles hasn't received the usual spotlight in WWE for a long time, and this fight with Theory is a great opportunity for that.

SHEAMUSDespite having disputed the title twice in recent times, being defeated both times, Sheamus always had Pretty Deadly in his way, that is, he never lost cleanly. One last match at WWE SummerSlam, without Pretty Deadly at ringside, or perhaps neutralized by Butch and Ridge Holland, could easily fit into this long-running rivalry.

LA KNIGHTHere's the perfect name to fill the role against Theory. At a recent Live Event, Knight hinted that he would go after the WWE United States Championship, as he attacked the champion and lifted the belt in a sold-out arena. Given his current rise in WWE, it would be epic for Knight to win a title in the middle of WWE SummerSlam.
