One of the most unexpected events of yesterday's WWE Money in the Bank in London, England, was when Shayna Baszler attacked Ronda Rousey during her match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, which ended up costing her the possession of the Undisputed WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
According to sources, this was due to Rousey being close to leaving WWE, wanting to have one last feud with Baszler before saying goodbye. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that a rivalry between Rousey and Baszler was always in the plans, however, due to the injury suffered by the “Baddest Women of the Planet” at Road to WrestleMania, WWE had no plans to elaborate a story with more details.
Meltzer recalled that Baszler and Rousey should have become champions at WrestleMania 39, to later have this rivalry. The expected is that both face each other at WWE SummerSlam, in August, in what could be Rousey's farewell.
