WAR BETWEEN WWE NXT AND AEW DYNAMITE

Despite WWE not winning the Wednesday war between NXT and Dynamite, the company continues to struggle to outperform the rival company. NXT and Dynamite were on the same day at the same time, however, in September 2021, WWE decided to move the NXT day to Tuesdays. The NXT audience was already very close to Dynamite, and on some occasions it managed to surpass it. Recently, it has been catching up again.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the two points most commented on by different people were: the fact that this is a contract year, so these gains come at a great time for the renewal price, and the fact that NXT members are insisting on the idea of making numbers that surpass Dynamite. In early June, Nick Khan stated that NXT should be implemented as a third brand and not as a talent development program.
