MANDY ROSE HAD PLANS FOR WRESTLEMANIA 39

Mandy Rose was champion for the first time in WWE in 2021, winning the NXT Women's Championship. The former leader of Toxic Attraction was originally supposed to capture her first WWE title years earlier, however.

Former WWE writer Dave Schilling revealed during an airing of WrestleMania 35 that Rose was originally slated to win the SmackDown Women's Championship on the show.

The "famous main event" in question was the Triple Threat between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch for the SmackDown and Raw Women's Titles. Lynch bested Rousey in the main event to become Becky Two-Belts. Mandy Rose was still involved in Mania, participating in the Women's Battle Royal.

Rose's discarded victory at WrestleMania 35 would likely have been over Asuka. The two women had been feuding since February and their streak was one win apiece on Show of Shows. Asuka lost the SmackDown Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair on March 26, 2019.

Rose is no longer with WWE, having been fired by the company in December 2022. His future in pro-wrestling remains uncertain.
