KATSUYORI SHIBATA SIGNS WITH AEW

This Saturday, it was announced that Katsuyori Shibata signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling, after several months competing in Ring of Honor.

Since March of this year, the Japanese fighter had been a regular competitor in the ROH rings, but was also doing some matches in AEW.

After losing the ROH Pure Championship to Wheeler Yuta at Rampage on November 25, it was reported that Katsuyori Shibata would be leaving AEW.

However, last night and via social media, Tony Khan announced that Katsuyori Shibata signed a new contract and is now All Elite. Furthermore, the Japanese even addressed a small "communiqué" to Tony Khan:

"Dear Tony Khan,

Today, I signed the contract with AEW with permission from New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Last year I worked for AEW/ROH and learned how wonderful AEW is.

This is the best environment where fighters can just focus on fighting in the ring.

And the love for professional wrestling overflows from Tony and all the people who work for him.

I want to make the AEW ring the final stop in The Wrestler's life for Tony Khan and AEW".
