TRIPLE H PRESENTS NEW PRE-SHOW BEFORE SMACKDOWN

Triple H and his creative team experimented with a new wrestling concept called "WWE Speed" before last Friday's SmackDown. Fans at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin, were able to watch not only the broadcast of this week's show, but also the recording of next week's show (spoilers) and the testing of a new concept.

Before the blue brand programs, a couple of quick fights called "WWE Speed" took place, limited to 5 minutes and under a points system. According to PWInsider's Mike Johnson, the winners of these matches earn 1 point, which they can accumulate through consecutive wins.

According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Bronson Reed defeated Nathan Frazer, and in the other match, between Axiom and Cedric Alexander, the winner was not clear. Despite the peculiar and still unclear rules, this was just WWE testing a new concept, which may never be implemented.
